Hypnotherapy for IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) can help ease this painful and annoying condition that I’ve had myself for many years.
It’s like having a stomach ache but it can last for weeks or even months. The funny is that it comes and goes at seemingly random. You can go for months without feeling anything and then it gets bad over the course of a few days, or instantly, only to vanish again as quickly as it appeared.
There is no known medical cure for irritable bowel syndrome and we don’t even know what causes it. The good news is that hypnotherapy can help relieve the symptoms of IBS and allow you to relax.
I’m not a doctor and I cannot diagnose IBS. You need to see a doctor first and have IBS medically confirmed before we begin any work.

Hypnotherapy for IBS
Hypnotherapy can help by reducing the pain you feel so you can get back on with living your life.
The aim of hypnosis for IBS is to reduce pain and make it more manageable. There are people that say their IBS went completely after using hypnosis but I do not claim to be able to do this. If it happens that’s great but I am not promising a miracle cure.
There are a number of ways hypnotherapy can help with IBS and different things work for different people.
Firstly, we can work on making you more relaxed by allowing you to experience hypnosis and calm your mind. In many cases just that alone helps.
We can work on finding any causes that may be giving you the discomfort. Sometimes going back into someones past to find the cause of the issue can offer great relief.
If you’re able to identify the first time you experienced the problem we can sometimes work out why it is that you may have it. Again, I’m not a doctor and IBS is something that the medical profession doesn’t understand. We don’t know where it comes from, why people have it and there is no known cure.
Speaking from personal experience of having it for over 15 years, I know how frustrating it can be and any help is welcome.
